About Me

I am a sometimes-writer, everyday mama, creative failure and experimental cook. I am interested in living a beautiful life, spending time with my family and making things that I can feel proud of. When I'm by myself I'm usually outside. Don't bother calling because chances are that I didn't bring my cell phone because I couldn't find it. If you see me walking, it's because I lost my keys and if you see me with only one child... I'm probably in big trouble.

Savory Rosemary and Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

The girls and I just made the most delicious biscuits ever.

We used a flour made by Namaste Foods as the base. They are mostly organic too. The only non-organic ingredient in the bunch is the baking powder. I looked at the ingredients and outside of cornstarch didn't recognize any of them. That's bad. It's just normal grocery store shelf stuff. I'll have to look around for a good alternative.

These are:

1 1/2 cup Namaste biscuit flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup water
a few pinches of salt
1 tsp. chopped, fresh rosemary.

Make dough into disks and cook on a pre-greased cookie sheet at 425 for 8-10 minutes. Then, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and put back into the oven until melted.

These are so easy, healthy and delicious. Your whole family will love and devour them!
